THE ONE WHERE WE CROSSED THE DESSERT LIKE NEFI

Hola todos!!!! This week was pretty poppin tbh!! Lots of things to tell haha -multizone conference: we hot some yessssss!!! so elder uctdorf is come to Uruguay and we're having a multimission conference with him!!! So theres gonna be like a bajillion of us missionaries haha and we got a whole breifing on how we're supposed to come in and exit...its gonna be wild and im so excited because hes my 4th general authority in the mission!!! -we put a baptism date with juan and its súper great because i felt like we started off really show here in santa Lucia haha but what else can you do when you have nothing but your faith? - we had intercambios this week!! I was with hermana Garcia (shes from Brasil) and we worked a fulaso!! Like we found soooooooo many amazing people to start teaching and im REALLY excited!!! -we got lost...like legit lost haha...so we have this little town Ituzaingo, ya saben, and we went on saturday to visit a bunch of people...so we're on the bus and we're going over the lessons cause well...im training and instead of going to ituzaingo, we pases it and ended up in A WHOLE OTHER TOWN!!! so i was like okay well we'll just take another bus...the other bus had already left and i was like well we cant stay outside of our área because thats súper against the rules and was like im sorry but we have to walk to ituzaingo...so we walked a total of 2 hours in the hottest most dangerous (sunwise) part of the day haha but we got there and we saw a lot of miracles for that haha so it was worth it even if the back of my neck is still a bit scorched bit it is what it is Anyways to put it short this is what happened this week haha not too much else 😂😂 Hope everyone has a great week!!! -your favorite hermana -Hermana Garcia!!! THE ONE WITH THE ACCIDENT AND I ATE SQUID...

Okay sooooooo...if you got an email yesterday with a bunch of pictures...uhhhh haha that was an accident! I was prepping an email to send out for today and i dropped the phone but then i caught it and when i caught it the email sent 😅😅 i tried to cancel the email as fast as i could but i dont think it cancelled 😂 whoops...wont happen again lol Anyways this week was way lit!!! We had a lot of miracles and it was just really awesome haha Lunes (después p-day): woowie wowow we had THE BEST charla with an investigator!!! First we found a really awesome lady that we can start teaching...then we FINALLY met one of our investigators here and at first he was getting ready to leave us like quit taking charlas and all that drama and i was like not today satan haha and so we started the charla with a hymn and a prayer like always and then i was like okay today we're gonna talk about comandments and he was like actually...no we're not gonna talk about that and i was like...uhhhh okay what are we gonna talk about today then and he was like, we're just gonna talk and i was like alright what do you wanna talk about and this man just started taking about how the other hermanas before us were trying to get him baptised but he had to stop smoking and i was like aaaaah okay (we already knew he was trying to stop) so we pulled out our plan to help him stop smoking and he was like awe this is nice haha and i was like do you know why its important to stop smoking and he was like well yes because its bad for me 😂😂 and i was like well not only physically but spiritually too and he was like "where in your bible does it say that" and i pulled out d&c 89 and we read some verses from that and he pulls out romans 14 which talks about feeling ourselves in the end haha and i was like hey whats your favorite food and he was like barbeque haha i was like alright did you know that your spirit likes barbeques too? And he was like what? Like he was so confused haha and i was like when we read our scriptures we feed ourselves a little bit of chorizo...and when we pray we get ourselves a nice lil bit of carne de vaca then i was like and whats your favorite part of the whole barbeque and he was like "i really like ribs" and i was like hey hermano...do you know what the ribs in our barbeque are? And he was like dont tell me its going to church because im not coming back here haha and i was like what why you cant miss out on your favorite part of the barbeque!!! Haha long story short, hes coming to church. Miércoles: ALL OF OUR CHARLAS FELL THROUGH AGAIN!!! haha so we did a lot of knocking and it was raining so basically it was just a day of rejection BUT we did a lot of exploring and found som really awesome places to knock!! JUEVES: We had a really good service project weeding a garden and cutting grass and it was really fun, then after that we had lunch with a member...lets just say that that was an experiencia and a half...so first of we have salad which tbh is the only thing i actually like eating here and that was pretty yummy, then we had this like torta cosa with a butt ton of veggies and it was good except nothing here has flavor so its basically just food in your mouth, then we had squid...SQUID!!!!!!! It was so NASTY!!!!!!! First off...i hate seafood...but when you go from no flavor to really strong flavor of the ocean...its worse man...i almost threw up lol Viernes: we found 3 really awesome people to teach and im really excited to start having charlas with them!!!! Sábado: so we have a lil tiny pueblito in our área called Ituzaingo and its so cute haha we met a member out there named Wilson Di Paula...he has a story in the Liahona and is súper súper awesome!!! He just a cute lil grandpa haha but when we were there he was telling us all about the people who live there and just giving us references left and right and...in my opinion, i think of we had enough people we could push to put a branca building out there. So thats my goal for these next 2 cambios haha i wanna put a branca building out there because theyre all poor and dont have money to take a bus every week to church, plus Wilson has to use a wheelchair cause hes paralyzed and that cant go in the buses here...so thats what we're working on! And i already got told by a member who doesnt go to church anyone that thats not possible, so im gonna do it because yall know im a wild one haha Anywho, hope everyone has a great week!! THE ONE WITH THE INVESTIGATORS IN INDIA?!?!

Yall. This week has been something else 😂😂 so first off im training Hermana Cornejo haha turns out Rosada is her 2nd last name, and shes from peru!! She súper awesome and has a lot of enthusiasm for the work so we're doing good! Also we're out here in Santa Lucia in a cambio de fe (whitewash) so basically i NEVER know where im at haha so thats stressful especially when youre training and your poor companion just follows you in your lostness because she has no other choice 😂😂😂 Alsoooooo we didnt have our área book like AT ALL the first few days so i was really really stressed out because well...no one likes knocking doors all day everyday, i mean i get that its part of the whitewash but i dont want my companion to dread her training 😂😂😂 so we've just been visiting members and asking EVERYONE for people to visit...even the people we contact haha its been a struggle and a half. The experience of the white wash: so because we are new in the area, we use the area book to know who the people we're teaching are and allll that so thats where we went to look...except we couldn't do that because well...we have phones now...so the area book is allllll in the area book app, so i was like alright thats a fat bet lets go...so i get to logging in and well...my login was still programmed to the area book in melo. so i was like carramba what am i gonna do now hahaha then i was like well lets visit all the presidents of all the organizations and see if they can help us out so i get to logging into lds tools...also still programmed to my ward in melo...and i was like stressing out this whole time and then hermana ridenour came in and she was like are you guys okay haha and i was like noooooo and i explained the whole situation and she was like well i cant help you with the area book but i can help you find the people in the ward (cause we share a ward with the 2 other hermanas in the house) so we finally got the addresses we needed and visited them and asked for people to visit and everything was good! then when the information for the area book finally switched over and i could see who our investigators are none of them have have addresses...the ones who do dont even live in uruguay one lives supposedly in chile, one in new york...and 3 in INDIA!!!!!! what the bruh???? hahaha i was so confused hahah and in ward coorilation they were like hows your investigators and i was like idk man i gotta go all the way to india to learn that info hahhahhaa but other than that its been quite the adventure over here in the UY. que tengan una buena semana!!! chau chauuuu!!! Hermana Anderson 1. Mi compañera y yo 2. just me 3. servicio 4. Maria Estela got baptized yesterday!!!!! 5. Selfie para tu semana

THE ONE WHERE I GO TO SANTA LUCIA AND NOT THE BAPTISM

Sooooooo...this week was actually really good! We found a couple new people to teach and thats gonna be really awesome for the area...they're super super capo like they could be the next baptisms in Gianola B(autismo)...speaking of Gianola B (my area)...IM LEAVING!!! I'm getting transferred to another area closer to montevideo called Santa Lucia!! I heard its really pretty there but alsoooooo ill be training a new missionary named Hermana Rosada!!!! I'm so excited because im pretty sure i dont have to teach spanish for now haha but we'll see. As far as the baptism last week went...everything was PERFECT it was all set in stone and elder haws (the district leader) told us her interview was VERY good and that she was very prepared and so we were like okay this baptism is going to happen and we were super excited and everything...wellthe day of the baptism we put in the relief society group chat that there's a baptism and that they should all go because Maria Estela is 19 and needs the support from all the sisters cause shes going to be the only member in her family and well...we recived a message 10 mins later informing us that one of the more elderly sisters in the ward had passed away earlier that morning and that her funeral was going to be the same day at the same time as the baptism...and we were like well crap delet the message before the whole world sees it and we were rushing and rushing and then we were like...Crap Maria Estela!! so we were like what are we going to do...and then we remembered that the elders were going to have a baptism the same day so we were like, she can just get baptised with the other baptism if theyre going to use the church for the funeral...but when it all comes down to it, we didnt have the baptism, we moved it to this next saturday so that it wouldnt be a messy baptism or disrespectful to the family of the sister...also itd be pretty whack if no one from her own ward showed up to the baptism because everyone was at the funeral...so i wont be going to the baptism because ill be 6 hours away. the funeral was really beautiful and Hermana Alba has a special place in my heart because she was the first person to say hello to me at church and she was always always so happy to share with us and her family became some of our best friends so it was pretty sad. on the lighter side tho, at least maria estela is gonna get baptized, Martin got the priesthood and is going to bless the sacrament this week, and we reactivated 6 families...i think we've done some good work here in Gianola and im very proud of the progress the area has made and can say that im leaving the area better than how i found it (: anyways les quiero muchoo y que tengan una buena semana!!! Hermana Anderson 1. The only picture i have for the week because my face decided to reject the world and well...we touch cheek to cheek and make a lil kissy sound when we say hello to the women here and well...its been a lot of sweaty cheek to sweaty cheek and uhhhhh...my skin is freakin out and this has NEVER happened to me before so if someone has solutions to this whole breakout thing...send that my way cause a girl needs help lolllllll

THE ONE WHERE THEY POISONED OUR WATER!

Well...this week was HOT weve been at 106 degrees EVERY DAY this week with a whoollleeeeee bunch of humidity!!!! Its an adventure for sure haha we're in the street almost 12 tours a day and you cant escape the heat...its like camping except the mission edition. Air conditioning is only a thing the rich people here have so we dont even have that lol so cold showers twice a day are the only way we're surviving. Also...we drink A LOT of water because its so hot so sometimes we ask people for water to start contacts and well...im scared to do that now because we were like alright lets ask them for water and they were kinda a little bit sketchy but we have filters so we were like we'll be fine...they hand us our water and we finished the contact and when we walked away we started drinking our water and AUTOMATICALLY we were like what kind of water is this and it tasted like carbonated water but with a BUTT TON of salt but it burned our throats and i was like what the bruh is this 😂😂😂 so i took another swig to figure out what it was and i was about to throw up so i opened the bottle and i had the strongest wave of beach smell ever so of course i poured it out and get this...IT WAS YELLOW. This person just put pure bleach in our bottles lol...im pretty sure we arent going back there... Anyways on a lighter note, we are supposed to have a baptism this week!!! So thats exciting!!! Its the first baptism my área will have had since february 2019!!! Im so excited to make a lil bit of history here! New Years in Uruguay Yall new Years here is so wild...in the states december 31 and January 1 are like normal days...but here everything shuts down at around 5 p.m. on december 31 and stays closed until 2 of january...literally nothing here is open right now so thats no fun haha but its fine. We spent new Years with the family of Regina! (I did divisions with here when i was in my training) shes on her mission in Brasil now but i got to know the rest of her family and theyre súper capo!! We had a barbeque with them and then when i went to share a spiritual thought the Dad was like actually i wanna share it and it was so awesome!!! He talked a lot about the mercy of Jesus Christ and it was SUPER BUENOOOOOO. FELIZ AÑO A TODO Y ESPERO QUE TENGAN UN AÑO BUENO!!!!!!! Hermana Anderson 1&2. Mi compañera y yo 3. Selfieeeee 4.
